Chisholm Outdoor Leadership Specialisation – Bushwalking (Tracked / Easy untracked)

Learn to manage and lead groups confidently and safely in a range of environments

Bushwalking (Tracked / Easy untracked)
Tracked or easy untracked bushwalking is described in the Outdoor Recreation Training Package as:

“Tracked or easy untracked areas are reliably marked on maps and are obvious on the ground, tracks are inspected on a regular basis and road or other safe collecting features are easily reached within 2 hours by applying elementary navigation principles”

This module covers leadership and guiding skills, navigation, group management and decision making. Students must be largely self responsible whilst developing the skills to consider the potential needs of the rest of the group.

Students will experience a 3 day bushwalk at the Cathedral Ranges followed by a 5 day walk in the Australian Alps.
