Walk Access - Mt Howitt
Apr 8th, 2008 at 11:07am

I'm planning on doing a walk up to Howitt next weekend and am wondering what the drive will be like for my little corolla. I don't have much info on Bindaree Road off the Mt Stirling Circuit Road, which is the route to start the walk. Is it just a rough unsealed road, or a 4WD track?

I know your post is an old one, but I'll answer in case anyone else is searching for the answer...

From my experience, Bindaree rd is fine for road cars - corrugations etc change seasonally and of course, up there, you can get snow at any time of year. Make sure you do the short stroll to Bindaree falls!
