It is likely that the shop-owners of Yarrawonga need to sweep, in part due to the cigarette butts - you are the first kayak expeditioner I have heard of... who smokes.

Wollemi, due to your statement, I dont think you have met many explorers, or expeditioners (including kayak expeditioners) around the world!!!???  Have you ever left penrith? Roll Eyes

Keep the updates coming Hammockman, I am enthralled...  Best reading on here for years! Smiley Smiley

OK, I'll bite...

Cheesy   Say, Leon; just between you and me, I have kayaked across Bass Strait on three occasions.

Eye, nasal and throat irritation are commonly experienced by non-smokers exposed to secondhand smoke.   Angry

So Leon, why justify a largely socially unacceptable and medically-proven unhealthy habit?  Isn't one reason kayaking is promoted is that it is a healthy activity to do?

"Imagine if a passenger airplane crashed in Australia every Wednesday, this is how many people (approx. 290 people) die from smoking every week."   Embarrassed

Cigarette butts make up 50% of litter items in NSW
Many smokers do not believe that littering their cigarette butts has an environmental impact or is inappropriate behaviour.
