Typo Station narrowly survives fires
By Jeff Watson
December 18, 2006
Typo Station narrowly survived the recent fires. It was an eleven day battle for us and the Fire surrounded the property on all four sides, even coming up and stopping at the front gate.
We have limited damage, but our lawns are ripped up by bulldozed containment lines. These containment lines were greatly appreciated despite the damage.
Huge thanks have to go out to Typo staff, Supporters and Volunteers, the numerous CFA
strike teams and tanker crews, numerous DSE crews and tankers, the bulldozer drivers and Hancocks plantation bulldozer and fire crews!
And of course the whole of the Rose River and King Valley community!
