Any
persons interested in applying for the course must submit an application
portfolio containing the following items:
- TAFE Studies Application (click
here to download);
- Copy of your current CV / Resume;
- 3. List of any qualifications you feel may be relevant to your application
(e.g. Senior First Aid, Bronze Medallion, Scout / Guide Certificates,
sports training / coaching, previous tertiary courses);
- 4. Summary of relevant outdoor experience (e.g. bushwalking, paddling,
climbing and abseiling, orienteering, ropes courses, camping trips and
adventure camps, teaching / coaching experience);
- 5. 200 word essay explaining why you want to do the course. Consider
past experience and potential future employment in this summary also.
Note: We urge you to put considerable effort into your
application portfolio, as the number of applications commonly exceeds
the course quotas (Cert. IIV- 18). A current Senior First Aid Certificate
is a pre-requisite for entry into the Certificate IV course.
Students will be informed that their Application Portfolio has been received
and will be notified in due course of an interview time (phone interview
in many cases). Students will be selected after the completion of the
interview process. Successful students will then be notified. Further
details and dates are included in the accompanying course introduction
and application letter.
Course Duration and Dates
The
10-month full-time Certificate IV course commences in February and finishes
in November.

21 November 2008 closing date for 2009 applications
30 January Closing date for late applications
2 February Course commence
20 November Course finishes/Closing date for 2009 applications
