How will I study?

A course of study with The Outdoor Education Consultants will be a blend of on-line self-paced learning and face to face training.  Face to face training may consist of classroom learning, practical learning at an activity site or venue either indoors or outdoors and simulated or actual workplace training.  Blocks of face to face training are scheduled into a course of study with several dates available , this means your training can fit around your lifestyle.

The Outdoor Education Consultants are different in that we will actively support you during your on-line learning phase.  You will have regular Skype sessions with your trainer.  Your assessments can be as high-tech or as low-tech as you choose, from using point of view glasses to posting us your assignment, that’s cool by us.

Given the nature of the training, specialist equipment will be provided, but you will eventually be required to provide your own personal safety equipment such as a harness and a helmet.  A comprehensive list of ‘essential and optional’ equipment will be provided to you prior to enrolment.
