Sea Kayak Australia

Introduction To Sea Kayaking 1 Day Course

  • You may just have bought a kayak, want to know if kayaking is the 'thing for you' or just want to fine tune and develop your existing technique and seamanship.
  • Completing one or more of the following courses will make you a safer and more confident sea kayaker this summer.

Skills for Open Water. Copyright Sea Kayak Australia 2012. All Rights Reserved.

Class sizes range from three to twelve students with an instructor / student ratio ranging of 1:6. These low student to instructor ratios ensure students receive individual attention and explanation of skills. Classes are designed to be fun and loaded with information.

Single kayak, paddle, PFD, spray deck, pump, spray jacket, thermals and course notes are all supplied and included in the cost (for the intermediate course we also supply wet suits). We will fit you to the most suitable single kayak in relation to your height and weight. You can also bring your own sea kayak for a reduced rate.

You don't need to bring any one else except yourself unless you want to bring a group of friends. We need a minimum of 3 people to undertake the course however we have lots of individual people coming from different directions (e.g. via agents and this web site).

If you don't like the dates we have scheduled in the booking system and have 3 or more people in your group, choose you own date and we will try to accommodate you.
