Coastlife has been providing exciting outdoor education experiences to students from across NSW, the ACT and Victoria for almost 27 years and in last 3 years Bindaree Outdoor Education Services acquired this fantastic business to continue its long lasting positive and inspiring programming which has impacted on so many people throughout the region and beyond.   

We work collaboratively with schools to design, plan and deliver exceptional outdoor education programs on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales.  Every program is tailor made to the client group with an educational, professional and fun focus. Our journey, base and hardtop programs deliver hands on learning experiences to a variety of age and ability levels. 

Our classroom is WILD! Within the Yuin People country we operate in we have 3 beautiful National Parks and many stunning estuaries and water ways filled with wildlife. We truly live and work in some of the most unique coastline.   

We are currently looking for passionate people to join our expanding program field team on a casual basis for our Semester 1 season in 2022. Consistent work will be available from mid-January through to end of May 2022, with training and inductions occurring mid-January.

Key Responsibilities:

Within this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support and facilitate groups through adventure-based activities
  • Ensure activities are operated to the highest safety standards
  • Challenge groups to work together to achieve desired outcomes
  • Educate students to apply skills learnt on program to their everyday life
  • Encourage strong connections with our natural environment
  • Help develop transferable life skills
Applicants must hold a minimum of or be prepared to acquire:
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Provide First Aid (Remote Area First Aid or Wilderness First Aid preferred)
  • Up-to-date CPR Qualification
  • National Police Check
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Completed Cert III Outdoor Leadership
  • Working with young people
  • Leading outdoor education programs
  • Logged experience in specialised activities
Desired qualifications:
  • Specialist qualifications: Flatwater Canoe, Surf Coach, SUP Coach
  • Bronze Medallion (or equivalent)
