Full Time Assistant HR Manager and Group Leader/Program Director

Position Description: Assistant Human Resources Manager

We would like to invite those looking to challenge themselves in an exciting, energetic, and supportive work environment to apply for the permanent Assistant Human Resources Manager position.

This role will see you working in both the office and out in the field and may include working on site based and wilderness programs anywhere between 1 - 9 days in duration.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to take that next step from Group Leading, into a management position with the aim or working towards Program Directing. The role would also be attractive to an applicant who comes with Program Directing experience and is looking to expand into other aspects of working in the Outdoor Education industry.

In this role you would:
  • Be an Assistant to the Human Resources Manager
  • Complete tasks delegated to you by the Human Resources Manager including rostering, contacting staff, data entry, inductions and on onboarding.
  • Conduct interviews with the Human Resources Manager
  • Be taking groups of students anywhere from Year 2 – Year 11 to exciting and different locations all around NSW! You might even get lucky enough to head off to Tassie!
  • Adapt to changing client needs & environmental conditions
  • Manage risk in an Outdoor Environment
  • Assist with the delivery of educational outcomes
  • Assist in management of gear store and office complex
  • Assist in general office administration and organisation
  • Assist management staff in preparing for outdoor program
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Wilderness First Aid (or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Outdoor Education Industry or equivalent relevant experience
Applicants should display:
  • An enthusiastic attitude to life and work
  • An effective communicator with team members, teachers, parents and students
  • Provide leadership to other team members
  • A willingness to be a positive role model for students and accompanying team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including word, excel and access or willingness to learn.
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritize and manage work time efficiently
  • Experience in towing trailers
  • Mountain Biking Qualifications
  • Vertical Rescue Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Previous experience delivering the Adventurous Journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Workload: Fulltime (38hr load within the field and the office.)

Renumeration: Minimum -$50,430.83 to $59,577.02as a Fulltime Load (38 hrs/week). Plus leave loading, field loading, penalty rates, overtime, phone allowance (For Program Directors), and superannuation.
