About the Opportunity

 The position of Resource Assistant is operationally focussed. Working to coordinate and process camping inventory to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to achieve successful programming across Victoria.

This position has a diverse range of responsibilities including  

  • To work with the Resource Manager to review and maintain the highest levels of equipment safety according to company and industry safety standards.
  • To work with the Resource/Catering Managers to pick and pack inventory as required.
  • Assisting in the maintenance, storage, and preparation of resource inventory.
  • Overseeing the effective and timely dispatch and return of all camp inventory
  • Coordinating and overseeing ‘Camp Return’ shifts (receiving incoming goods)
  • Performing quality control and inventory compliance checks.
  • Manual handling of camping inventory
  • Assisting with staff training and mentoring 
  • Assisting with compliance and risk management 
  • Assisting with the repair and turnaround of damaged stock to ensure all equipment always maintains the highest quality and safety standards.
What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:   

  • A passion for outdoor education and providing outstanding customer experiences  
  • Great interpersonal communication skills, includingthe ability to create strong relationships with staff and clients   
  • The ability of managing high volumes of tasks
  • Have a high attention to detail and great organisational skills
  • Open to a rotating roster
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Motivation to achieve excellence
  • Willingness to take direction where needed
Applicants must hold a minimum of or be prepared to acquire:  
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Valid Working with Children Check 
  • First Aid Qualification 
  • CPR Qualification 
  • National Police Check 
  • Manual handling training

Head Office location: Bayswater, Victoria

Remuneration: $58k per annum + superannuation + leave conditions
