About the Opportunity

This brand-new key position is a fantastic opportunity to expand and utilise your skills in the areas of staff training, mentorship, and client program coordination. The role offers great variety with a mix of hands-on group facilitation, office-based tasks, staff training and management of activity equipment and maintenance. Working closely with the Camp Coordinator to help create a positive and fun camp environment for all.

This position has a diverse range of responsibilities including

  • Oversee the day-to-day activity operations to ensure they are safe, fun, and efficient
  • Oversee client programs and coordinate activity staff
  • Assisting with developing and delivering staff training and mentoring
  • Oversee activity stock management, fault reporting and compliance
  • Assist with client briefings
  • Facilitation of onsite activities
  • Assist with responding to client and facility issues in a timely manner
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to ensure client satisfaction and current occupancy levels are maintained
  • Assisting with compliance and risk management
  • Occasional facility and program management 
What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have: 

  • A passion for outdoor education and providing outstanding customer experiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to create strong relationships with staff and clients
  • Experience in group facilitation
  • Proven leadership/management experience, including the ability to multitask and look bigger picture
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
Applicants must hold a minimum of or be prepared to acquire:
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Qualification
  • Up-to-date CPR Qualification
  • National Police Check
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Completed Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent years of industry experience

Remuneration: $55,000 to $68,500 per annum pro rata based on EA level + superannuation + leave conditions 

  • Outdoor Activity Leadership
    • Demonstrate your experience and qualifications in the wide range of outdoor based activity skills and activity leadership.
  • Program Planning and Activity Maintenance
    • Demonstrate your ability and experience in program planning and logistics such as activity and staff rotations, allocation resources
    • Demonstrate your past experiences with activity maintenance, fault reporting and stock management.
  • Team Management
    • Demonstrate your experience and qualifications in managing individuals, staff teams and departments in an outdoor and/or business context.
    • Demonstrate your experience with staff mentorships and training
