Season: Winter - Spring
Time: 30 minutes
Level: Assess waterlevel at bridge over river next to Cradle Mountain Lodge
Character: Park and Huck
Suits: White water boats
Get in above bridge. First falls is Pencil Pine Falls (8 m). Second falls is Knyvet Falls (4m). Third falls is now called "Melbourne Bitter". Shortly after is a bridge, walk out on river left back to carpark. Apparently there's another 3 or 4 good rapids before you hit the Dove River and you can walk out by finding the track on river right.
Watch for the pin rock in the approach to Pencil Pine falls.
Apparently there's another 3 or 4 good rapids before you hit the Dove River. Um no, there is a couple of good rapids then a large nasty waterfall. Portage waterfall on River right using track and re-enter on the Dove (presuming you are doing that as well). - Boro
