The AdventurePro Video Film Festival is open to any video between 2 - 15 minutes featuring Australian &/or New Zealand Outdoor Adventure --- or, Aussies and Kiwis adventuring overseas!
Aviation, Ballooning, Canoeing, Canyoning, Caving, Climbing, Cycling / MTB, Fishing, Hiking / Bushwalking, Horse Riding, Kayaking, Rafting, Rogaining, Sailing, SCUBA Diving / Snorkelling, Sea Kayaking, Skydiving, Snow Sports, Stand Up Paddling, Surfing --- whatever your outdoor adventure video is about, we want to help share it with the world!
2015 was the second festival with Open, Schools and the Mansfield-Mt Buller High Country Adventure Category and 7 more Prize Categories.
The 2015 festival followed in the footsteps of the highly successful 2014 event, but proved to be even bigger and better!
The AdventurePro Video Festival 2015 presented by the Australian Camps Association was well attended with a full house for the Saturday May 2nd premiere in Mansfield, Victoria.
The screenings were enjoyed by everyone --- the audience, film-makers, organisers and supporters were all winners and grinners.
"We had overwhelmingly positive feedback from the large audiences and the quality of the entries was outstanding," said Colin Kneebone, AdventurePro's Client Services Manager.
"You only had to look at the wide-eyes and big smiles on peoples faces as they emerged from the theatre to know the event was a success."
"There was a real buzz in the air as the premiere brought together a broad spectrum of people to celebrate the outdoors."
"The high quality of the films presented at the festival was reflected by the judges inability to split the 3 open category runners up."
"Congratulations and thank you to all the film-makers, adventurers, sponsors, supporters, prize-givers, judges and the audience from everyone at AdventurePro," said Mr Kneebone.
"The festival would not be possible without you."
"We hope you're already thinking about next year's entry, sponsoring the event or coming along to a screening in Mansfield in 2016."
Adventure lovers have been demanding an Australian short adventure film / video festival for years --- now it's up to you to enter your videos, sponsor or advertise at the event and / or attend the screening to ensure the events continuing success!
So charge up your battery packs, check your waterproof housings, cameras and mounts and get your outdoor crew fired up for fun, adventure and fame!
Entries for the 2016 festival are open until 11pm on Friday, April 1st 2016.
So, you now have plenty of notice and all seasons to pursue your favourite outdoor activities and to 'share the adventure'.
This is your chance to have your adventure video screened in full digital cinema glory. The video creators that attended the 2014 and 2015 screenings were 'blown away' seeing their videos / short films on the BIG screen.
AdventurePro is not necessarily seeking the most epic, hard-core, highest, steepest, fastest or most 'out there' videos --- if you have a passion for adventure and outdoor activities and have a good story to tell then we encourage you to enter.
We will hold the premiere screening of the best (and winning) videos at the Mansfield Armchair Cinema in Mansfield, Victoria --- as well as publishing a DVD and an online Vimeo album and YouTube playlist after the event.
The Mansfield Armchair Cinema was the first digital cinema in Australia --- and we believe The AdventurePro Video Festival was the first Australian adventure short film / video screening to be presented in full digital cinema splendour!
All videos selected for the screenings will be converted into a Digital Cinema Package (DCP) to ensure the best viewing experience possible with exceptional digital video and audio quality!
The AdventurePro Video Festival will include two screenings on the Saturday evening of April 30th and Sunday morning of May 1st, 2016 at the Mansfield Armchair Cinemas in Mansfield, Victoria, Australia.
